RunPacePlan app for Android (iPhone coming soon)
Last updated 2026-10-29
RunPacePlan is a running plan you can understand, in your pocket. It takes the training plan generators and pace tools from this site and adds a Today screen, calendar export and pace bands built from a GPX course.
Phone app
The tools on this site run in any browser. The app adds what only a phone at the table can do.
What only the app does
A plan that shows its reasoning
A schedule you do not understand is one you quit. Every week says why it looks the way it does.
- Android: On Google Play now Pick 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon or 50K, the race date and your running days. Each week shows its rule: weekly increase under 10%, cutback weeks, taper.
- iPhone and iPad: Coming soon The same plan generator is part of the iPhone and iPad app.

Pace bands that follow the hills
An even-pace band falls apart on a hilly course, and a phone is the one thing you carry to the start.
- Android: On Google Play now Load a GPX course: every split is corrected for the real hills and the total stays your goal time. Free.
- iPhone and iPad: Coming soon The same GPX pace band is part of the iPhone and iPad app.

Print it, wear it on race day
Nobody does split maths at mile 18.
- Android: On Google Play now Print the pace band for any goal time as a wristband, from the phone.
- iPhone and iPad: Coming soon The same printable band is part of the iPhone and iPad app.

Pace and treadmill calculators, no signal needed
Gym basements and trailheads have no coverage.
- Android: On Google Play now Pace, treadmill speed and incline calculators in miles or kilometres. They work offline, with no account.
- iPhone and iPad: Coming soon The same calculators are part of the iPhone and iPad app.

What the Android app does
- A plan that shows its reasoning: pick 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon or 50K, the race date and your running days. Every week says why it looks the way it does (weekly increase under 10%, cutback weeks, taper).

- Pace, treadmill and incline calculators, miles or kilometres.
- Today screen with the run, the days to the race and your weekly progress; add the whole plan to your calendar.
- Auto-log runs from Health Connect: each finished run ticks off its planned workout (read only, stays on your phone). This is an Android feature.
- Works offline, needs no account, and keeps your plan on your phone (privacy policy).
Free and Pro
Plans, GPX pace bands and the calculators are free. Pro adds an adaptive plan that re-plans after missed or slower runs (every change shows its rule and can be undone), safe catch-up, multi-race seasons and several plans at once. It is sold monthly, yearly or as a one-time lifetime purchase through Google Play.
Platforms
Android phones and tablets: on Google Play now. iPhone and iPad: not on the App Store yet, a new version is being built; the form above sends you one email when it is out. Every tool on this site is free in your browser.
